Marketing and Publicity Intern

Spiegel & Grau is looking for a marketing and publicity intern for the Fall 2025 semester! This is an in-person position, taking place in our Upper West Side office at least two days a week.

 The S&G intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administrative duties (mailings, filing, printing materials, scheduling meetings, event prep, etc.)

  • Assisting the marketing and publicity team with research and outreach for book campaigns

  • Assisting the marketing and publicity team with S&G's social media presence, including assisting with the creation of social media assets and scheduling posts

  • Reading and evaluating manuscripts for publication

The S&G intern:

  • Will get meaningful exposure to all aspects of book publishing, including editorial, marketing and publicity, production and design, sales, finance, and legal

  • Will attend weekly staff meetings, editorial meetings, and additional meetings on the various aspects of book publishing listed above

  • Will receive mentorship and guidance in relation to career goals

Design Intern

Spiegel & Grau is looking for a design intern for the Fall 2025 semester! This is an in-person position, taking place in our Upper West Side office at least two days a week.

The S&G intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrative duties (mailings, filing, printing materials, scheduling meetings, event prep, etc.)

  • Assisting the marketing and publicity team with social media asset creation, including title-specific graphics and branded evergreen content

  • Assisting the marketing and publicity team with advertising creative on platforms including Meta, Google, and Amazon 

  • Designing and templatizing promotional assets, including book club kits

  • Providing suggestions and feedback for future branding endeavors at Spiegel & Grau

 The S&G intern:

  • Will get meaningful exposure to all aspects of book publishing, including editorial, marketing and publicity, production and design, sales, finance, and legal

  • Will attend weekly staff meetings and additional meetings on the various aspects of book publishing listed above

  • Will receive mentorship and guidance with career goals

The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working in Canva or Photoshop, be passionate about branding and design, and love reading.
